Daily Pre-Task Plans

Crew tier and aboveIn the app: /pretask

Daily Pre-Task Plans are the morning huddle written down: today's task, the hazards, the controls, the PPE, and the crew's sign-off before work starts. It is the document a general contractor asks for first after something goes wrong.

1.Write today's plan

  1. Open Pre-Task Plans and press New Plan.
  2. Pick the job site and enter the location or area and the task or scope of work for today.
  3. Under Hazards, write what could hurt someone today. Under Controls, write how each hazard is controlled. Add the required PPE and the weather or conditions if they matter.
  4. Build the crew: search the roster or type a name, or press Add whole crew for everyone assigned to that site.
  5. Save. If the site has a location, we record the weather conditions at the time on the plan.

2.Collect the crew's sign-offs

  1. Open the plan and go to Crew & sign-off.
  2. Pick who is signing from the crew list. They can sign with a finger in the signature box, or you can record the sign-off by name only.
  3. Press Add Sign-Off. We show how many of the crew have signed and who has not yet.
  4. Signing happens on the supervisor's phone or tablet at the huddle. There is no QR code for this.

3.Find an old plan

  1. Filter the list by job site or date. Each row shows the task, the site, the date, who prepared it and how many signed.
  2. Only an admin can delete a plan.

Common questions

Does a plan need every crew member to sign?
The app records who signed and who has not; it does not block the plan. Your procedure decides whether work starts with a name missing.
Can I copy yesterday's plan?
Not today. Write each day's plan fresh; the hazards are supposed to change with the work.
