Management System Maturity
Company tierIn the app: /maturity
Management System Maturity rates each standard in your safety program, such as lockout/tagout or contractor safety, against a checklist of requirements you write, from A (sustaining) to D (significant gaps). We turn the ratings into a weighted maturity score per standard and flag every requirement rated C or D as a gap that needs a corrective action.
1.Set up a standard (admin)
- Open System Maturity and press + New Standard. Give it a name, an optional code or reference and a description.
- Open the standard's Checklist and add each requirement, the objective evidence that shows it is met (such as training records), and a weight. A higher weight counts for more in the score.
- Only an admin can create or delete a standard.
2.Assess a standard
- Press Assess on the standard, add the job site and the assessor, and press Begin.
- Rate each requirement: A Sustaining, B Implemented, C Continuous Improvement, D Significant Gaps, or E Not Applicable, which leaves it out of the score.
- Add notes, attach an evidence file up to 4 MB, or link a training record as evidence.
- Press Mark Complete when every requirement is rated. Press Reopen to change it later.
3.Close the gaps
- A requirement rated C or D shows that it needs a corrective action. Press Add Corrective Action on it.
- The action is linked to the requirement and appears on Corrective Actions with its source, for its owner to work.
- The standard's list shows the latest maturity score, and the page totals the open gaps across every standard.
Common questions
- How is the score worked out?
- A counts 100, B 75, C 50 and D 25, averaged across the rated requirements by their weights. Not applicable and unrated requirements are left out. 90 and above reads as Sustaining, 70 as Mature, 50 as Developing, and below 50 as At risk.
- Is this the same as the free gap analysis on the website?
- No. The gap analysis on our website is a short questionnaire against the OSHA programs that ends in a report. This module is your own standards and requirements, assessed on your sites over time. The gap analysis report can be imported into Corrective Actions.
